Well, tonight I noticed that the musty smell in the 10 gallon was stronger, and since I had not seen one of my molters for over 2 months, I did a very gentle dig. I found Willie on the bottom of the tank. Part of his exo was behind him and he was dead and decaying badly. I don't know what happened. All I can guess (since he had no air space around him) was that Bandit caved in his space when she started digging up the tank a while back. I am sooo mad at myself for not getting her out of there quicker. I just wasn't prepared for a situation like that. Poor Willie; he came from such a bad place and I wanted him to regenerate his little eye and have a long, happy crabby life.
On a better note, Herman, Bandit and Tiny Dancer came through their molts beautifully!

Thanks for the support. It was a heart-wrenching experience and I pray I don't have another incident like it for a very long time.
