automatic water feeder
i'm not sure if this has been suggested before, i apologize if it has!! for the past year or so i have been using the automatic water feeders made for dogs/cats and they are wonderful! i travel a lot so i don't have to worry about the crabs running out of water. oh, and this type is the kind that you take off the top and fill it with water, then flip it over and stick it back on the base. a little messy, but so worth it!

I travel to europe 1-2 x's a year and have to leave the crabs for 2 weeks.
I use the Fluckers water res. they work great and they come in a smaller size(5oz.) for smaller tanks. I give them a big bowl of dry foods from H.Crab Addiction Store, cuttlebone. Plus there are plenty of eddible things in the tank like coco huts, cholla wood, sponge pit and crushed oyster shell
at the bottom of the tank. I use an ultratherm heat mat and do not worry
about fires. But I do worry about them the entire time I am gone. I even have nightmares about them dying.
