My E Loves to Chirp

Post by glittercake » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:17 pm

My E spends half his evening either in the shell shop or on top of the half log chirping. No one is bothering him, he's just sitting there. Anyone else have a noisy E? I'm hoping to find another E friend for him next weekend.

My E chirps when his E buddy wants to sleep. XD If one goes to sleep, the other will sit there chirping every now and then as if to wake the other up to play. Haha. It's very cute.

Could this chirping be some kind of mating call?

I have one that is noisy. Today I heard chirping and went over to the tank and the noisy E was the one going after another crab and chirping the whole time. Silly E!

For a while, when Herbit was even more shy than he is now, every night at the same time he would make the same chirp. I think some are just noisier than others. I have noticed that as time went on, and Herbit became more comfortable, he hasn't chirped. Though, it is funny because they each have their own chirp. Some chirp deeper than others. Hopefully your little guy is ok. I would keep watch in case.

Sounds like he could be stressed and looking for more of his kind.
