Re: Any feeding tips? Favorite recipes?

Re: Molting Questions

I couldn’t separate her but the other crabs left her alone and i think she’s gaining color, she’s been hiding away in this shell that’s too big for her for the past week but i think her exoskeleton is at least almost fully hardened ok great, hopefully she's gone! keep an eye on her and make sure sh...

Re: inexpensive food?

it can definitely be tricky to offer a good variety of foods without spending a ton of money on dozens of different foods! repurposing foods you make for yourself can help with this. one thing I like to do is whenever I'm chopping up fruits/veggies for myself I put the scraps in the freezer for the ...

New Climbing Gym!

made a new climbing gym for the crabs! it's a lot more complex than the last one I made (the brown one in the last photo) but there's not as much space for them to hang out underneath it, so for now I'm keeping both in the crabitat. I put it in last night & there's a little substrate on it this morn...

Re: Going away for a week

I agree with curly, I've left mine for a week at a time before with no problems. just leave out a good variety of dried foods.

Re: Hermit Crab Supplies Store

depending on what you're looking for- there's a lot of food & driftwood & food dishes available on etsy. I got my water dishes from the dollar store & modified them using craft mesh & zip ties. fake plants and even shells you can find at craft stores. aquarium stores will have driftwood, some food (...
