Re: I'm sorry.
Thanks, I'm slowly getting better. I've been reaching out to some people in the modding community I'm in and it's helped a lot. Also, happy birthday!

Re: I'm sorry.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm not sure if I will return to crabbing because I don't feel I have the ability nor the attention span to consistently provide them with all the things they need.

Re: I'm sorry.
Thank you for the advice. I don't have the courage to talk to my parents about my issues openly, same goes with my sister since she'll make fun of me. My friends will likely see me as strange, but hopefully not. The main people I can talk to are people in the minecraft modding community. I made an a...

Re: I'm sorry.
Thank you for the advice. The past few weeks have been a lot harder since I've been thinking about all the fun times I had when building their enclosure, so kind words are always helpful.

I'm sorry.
Hi everyone in the HCA, I would like to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this community. I've learned a lot during my time here, and I strived to give my hermit crabs the best care I could. At least, I did. It all started on March 27, when I decided that my hermit crab in his litt...

Re: Is my crab stuck under his sand?
Don’t dig him up. They burrow a lot, so that’s probably just him digging some tunnels. Unless you’re using calcium sand which solidified after drying, there shouldn’t be any real concern here

Re: What are your crabs up to?
Well, I attached the coco lining to the moss because the holes were letting moss spill out onto the substrate and i was worried about mold... guess who tore up the lining and now there’s both coco fibers and moss on the substrate now... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201002/25fe596382510fe97375f...

Re: Maintaining good substrate consistency
Yeah, that's the main issue I'm having. The right half of my tank and especially the substrate around the pools is almost perfect consistency.

Re: New hermie owner
Already looking a lot better! Next step is to make the water dishes deep enough for them to submerge. You probably also want a digital thermometer+hygrometer which you can get from walmart. those tend to be more accurate. You may also want to provide them with more shells. EDIT: I see you have spong...

Re: Maintaining good substrate consistency
Yeah, my humidity has been at 99% ever since I added the playsand. I do mist the tank, although I try to limit this to once a week.
