Re: Indonesian Crab Care

Thanks for thinking of me! I sent a PM. In regards to size- assuming they live long enough, they’ll be bigger than the PPs overall, and not yet quite as big as a coconut crab (aside from their cartoon pinchers lol!) I only have the one just now, but [mention]RiNiKy506 [/mention] has her 3 species bu...

Re: Sitting on a house

Yep, just a favorite perch. Some like to be higher up, some like to be on the ground, and some under it! They’re all so different, that’s what makes it so fun! [emoji6][emoji1303][emoji1303]

I need urgent help with my snake!!! NOW!!! THIS IS VERY URGENT!!!

I would think you could just set an alarm every few hours and sleep in between at the very least, but yes should be ok for a time. I mean, basically, maybe 1-2x during the night you could open it up and freshen the air a bit. That small of a resting snake will not use a ton of oxygen, and maybe all ...

Re: Jumbo PP Returns!

Thanks so much everyone! My other big girl, Princess, is finally back up too! I know logically that 3 months isn’t that long for her size to molt but man it’s been so hard to wait!! She’s still all sandy, but I’m so so happy they all 3 pulled thru. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200316/156d6ff18...

Dave- the OG crab

Ha! Dave was one of our two original crabs, and he popped up from a molt and has some gorgeous colors! I’m such a proud crabby momma, I can’t help it. [emoji16] He rly does have some stunning purples, violet, and pinks this time. He’s a sweet crab too. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200315/b3c02...

Re: Dead crab questions for future

Ditto the last that [mention]curlysister [/mention] said- if they’re gone they’re gone, but if they’re ok.... then digging them up could cause any number of issues. As for what happens when they don’t make it... I don’t have pods in mine yet either, but the one for sure Crab I know of mine that pass...

Re: Crab Won't Get Back In a Shell

A day-ish has passed and he remains in his shell. Seems like all is well and good! Still, I wonder why he decided to leave his shell for near 5 days. Excellent news!!! It’s always encouraging to hear about the successes, bc there are sadly so many who that is the end for them! That’s wonderful, tha...

Re: Foods and Manipulating PP crab color

Great info guys! I’ve always wondered how strong the effect is from diet alone; I love seeing how bright and beautiful they are after freshly molted- it’s one of my favorite things about having crabs for sure. They do come up with some bright bright colors sometimes- vivid purples and blues for mine...

Two New Crabs and a Pinch!

Ha! Funny you mention this.... I finally got pinched by one of my jumbos, too! It wasn’t really in earnest- my son walked up on us too fast, and when he got there I started getting alternating little ‘picking’ type of pinches one claw and then the other. Kinda like they do when they’re sitting on a ...

Re: Hampton Roads, VA

I’m upgrading to a 100 gal tank today, and I have 4 Es, who I would love to add to your! Not that I don’t ‘want’ PPs, I just have about 15 already. [emoji6] The PPs I have range from teeny to jumbo as well, but I would love to grow my exotic tank a bit more, as I am upgrading so much. If you would b...
