Re: Molting E in Bacterial Bloom & Lost Limbs
I read through every post just now, and felt extremely happy when he improved, and sad when his condition worsened. I'm sorry for your loss. You were outstanding and had a lot of patience especially during feeding and bathing.

Digital Thermostat
I'm going to use heat tape, so I want to ensure the temperature is controlled properly. I've seem Herpstat and Vivarium Electronic's temperature controller with humidity readings. I was wondering if there's any other brands (that's not necessarily for reptiles) that may be less expensive. At over $2...

Oh awesome. Thanks! Did you use the same material to insulate as Fleabag?

Re: Fleabags Guide To Heating A Crabitat
Can I apply this insulating method to THG / Flexwatt heat tape? Not sure if the aluminum foil will cause a shock.

Re: Help Improve Our Resources Section (weblinks)
It was hard finding resources in Canada, but here's what I've come across: Organic Sphagnum Moss - Terra Greenhouses (contact your local store. Vaughan location confirmed ) [ONTARIO ONLY] *Note: Only USA Home Depot sells sphagnum moss, not Canada. Canada Lowes, Rona and Home Depot do NOT sell organi...

How did you end up heating your tank? I'm considering heat tape, but not sure if it's good.AutumnFalls wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 1:15 amUnfortunately, I'm a bit farther from the border, but I could try to see if an American friend could get one and ship it to me. It's so frustrating that they can't be found here.

Re: Sliding Glass lid?
I think as long as the top isn't completely covered, and allows air circulation, glass tops should be fine. It would definetely look better than plastic wrap, and helps control temperature and humidity. Personally, I'm thinking of a glass lid, but just a matter of sliding vs hinged. If you're planni...

Re: New to crabs
Crabs should be given the chance to swim, but most won't so flow isn't much of an issue. So long as they have footing to climb out they won't drown. The big thing would be if the water is splashing out of the pools, that can cause major flooding underneath the surface and is deadly to molting hermi...

New to crabs
Hello! I've been creeping the forum for the last few days as I am learning more about crabs. I have a 30gal tank where I kept shrimp before. I've never had a terrarium before, so you may see me asking a bunch of questions if I can't find some answers as I plan my way to making my tat. I do have a fe...
