Crabs like to take their food down into their tunnels??

Post by arosenbaum » Fri Jul 24, 2020 11:02 am

So my crabs have lately been bringing all of their food down into their elaborate tunnel system to eat it. They seem to not prefer eating it above ground, so they take it away to chow down, I guess. My only concern is that the food isn't going to get eaten all the way and won't deteriorate in the sand. So how do I get the food out so my tank doesn't start smelling?? I have one down molting so I don't want to go digging to find the food, but what should I do??

They like midnight snacks. As long as there are molters you can't search.
