I also have cuttlebone available at all times. Doesn’t look like a lot but I only have 2/4 up right now.

Celebrity buffet for 2 outta 3 returned from molting.

Wet food:
PB
Coconut oil
Honey

Fresh:
Cucumber
Acorn squash
Blueberry
Blackberry
Strawberry
Shredded carrots
Pomegranate seeds
Yellow tomato
Banana
Omelette with shrimp and blood worm

Dry:
Nori
spirulina
Popcorn
Chia seeds
Ground flaxseed
Baby shrimp
Blood worm
Broccoli powder
Rose petals
Pumpkin seeds
Saffron seeds

In the activity cubes:
Dried apple, pumpkin, orange

Yeah, it's a lot of choices, but it's just a tiny bit of everything. I'm just happy as heck to see them again.

I think we can ALL relate to the "tiny bit of everything" scenario when it comes to feeding our crabbos. Hope your resurfaced guys enjoy the feast - and I hope you enjoy having some crab action! Congrats on the successful molts. :cheer:

Fresh/rotating dish: fried egg (fried with a bit of EVOO), frozen blood worms, and strawberry
Supplement dish: green sand, crushed oyster shell, azomite, and crab exo
Scattered throughout the 'tat: cuttlebone pieces, eggshell, and live oak leaves

Side note - seems like no matter what I feed these guys, I swear they just eat more of their cork hides than anything.

I'm going to be giving my crabs all natural chicken from Perdue. I always check the package at the store to make sure nothing has been added to it that could be harmful. Like sea salt, growth hormones, steroids or any chemicals. If any of that has been added to the meat, I do not buy it. I don't want to risk feeding my crabs raw meat that has had that stuff added to it. I also have some stuff coming from Hermie's Kitchen that is also important to their diet: Kelp Powder, Calendula Buds, Rose Petals and Buds, and Clover Blossoms. I'm wanting to make sure I'm hitting all parts of a land hermit crab's diet.
I thought sea salt was safe though? Because I do the same thing I get a lot of uncooked dehydrated meats at a dog store near me and its for dogs and cats but they usually have stuff with nothing added.

Sea salt is not harmful. Sodium is a part of their diet.

For their fresh food tonight, I made scrambled eggs mixed with coconut flakes and amaranth seeds. Within 5 mins I caught Mera chowing down! ImageImage

Thanks!!!
Digging their food out of the sand all of the time was driving me crazy. So I use the lids that came with the containers (that I use for their pools) as mats. It really helps contain the mess lol!
