Aquarium Trip
Today we went to the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park and got to pet sting rays. It was amazing and we love them so much. Flap flap water doggos are the best!

Re: Aquarium Trip
I love the pictures! Those turned out really great, especially for a cell phone . I always enjoy the skates. . And were those jellyfish? Neat!
An aquarium trip is definitely in the works for this summer for us too. Last time we went, we spent three hours walking through the entire ten-story(?) aquarium, and I was talking up each animal for my son, who was just old enough to speak in one word sentences. We're heading over to building two when my son sees a wall mural. It's a school of fish - a bunch of fish outlines filled in by silver metallic sparkles- honestly it was probably a bunch of metallized vinyl stickers. My son stops dead in his tracks, points his finger at the mural with all the energy he possesses and shouts "FISH!!!!" It was the highlight of his trip. We responded enthusiastically of course, but decided to give it a few years before coming back.

@Hermias_mom. ... "FISH!".... SO MUCH LOL.
Soilentgringa, love the pics! I got to pet the water doggos at the Toronto aquarium too! At first I wasn't so sure about it, like it might not be so great for them... but I didn't have the willpower to resist their wily ways, and they were amazing and I love them!
Also, our aquarium does not have a nautilus and I am jealous of that. But we do have a Great Lakes tank with paddle nose fish, and I think that probably makes up for it.

There were 3 or 4 in their tank. I wish all the pics had come out less blurry but my actual small camera wasn't charged and this was a spur of the moment trip.LadyJinglyJones wrote:@Hermias_mom. ... "FISH!".... SO MUCH LOL.
