If you buy the Kaytee silent spinner wheel I recommended, it is so round and curved inside, the circle of mesh just pops in and stays by itself that's how I did mine). I attached the 2 ends of the mesh with cotton yarn, and that puts it in the circle shape. Image

Thanks! I did buy it; it's supposed to come on Monday though so I have to wait, ugh! Can you post a picture of the yarn? I have some, and might do what you did. Thank you! :)

I used "I Love This Cotton" yarn I bought at Hobby Lobby. But a lot of other craft stores sell Sugar n Cream cotton yarn. I'd show you a pic but I'm moving, and took all of my yarn over to the new house. You could also use jute twine to sew the two ends together. I used the twine to crochet my own crabby climber. Image

Our kids love their wheel. I'm so glad you all suggested we get one!

I know those shells are too big for them, but they use them like little step ladders to get in and out of their wheel and I think it's adorable. Their clothing shell selection is plentiful, so I don't feel bad making them climb on inappropriate ones because I think they are cute.

I stuck mine up with suction cups and it seems to hold well. They're tiny little guys though, so there's never a lot of weight on the wheel even with all three.

All of them went under the sand to molt within 48 hours of each other so the wheel is getting lonely. Sigh. It's only been about two weeks, so no biggie. Just a boring time to be a wheel. ImageImageImage

Amazing tank! I love it, and I think your hermeis do, too! Where did you get the rope? It looks like it's from an Etsy store...

Mine? Thank you! They seem entertained. lol I had to experiment and find stuff that wouldn't mold in crazy high humidity.

Do you mean the second level getup on the left with the shells on it? I'm way too cheap for buying fancy things, so I got out the crochet hooks and some jute twine from Jo-Ann's jewelry section. It's terrible stuff to work with, but their pointy little feet can grab it nicely. It's always got sand and poo up there, anyway, even though I never see them use it. lol

That's exactly how I made my crabby climber. I grabbed some jute twine and crocheted it. Then I attached it to a plastic riser with cholla wood as railings. It was def a pain to work with but my 2 bigger crabbies sit up there all the time. Image

I made this poorly edited video of our crabs having fun in their wheels a few weeks ago. The clips are sped up to make it go with the music better. Its amazing how 30 minutes or so of video clips shrinks to nothing once you edit!

I'm not a metal music fan, but this song was a PERFECT fit for your hermie videos! I loved it. I subscribed to your channel too. ImageImage
