Post by Acohen » Tue Jun 30, 2020 10:47 pm

Any suggestions to prevent cholla wood from growing mold in the tank? My humidity is usually between 80-90%
Thanks!

You could put springtails in your tank, they eat mold. Just make sure there are no escape routes out of the tank.

They do best/require high humidity to thrive, as they have thin exoskeleton. Springtails are naturally present within the home as well.

Otherwise, I'd suggest boiling the wood in salt water, abd salt inhibits mould growth.
