I wouldn't be trying to appease them because they are unkind. I'd do it to prevent future slander made against me. I would also share it because I care about hermit crabs and would like to share what I know about them to the world. I don't feel that people are being hard on ELHC, rather they question it - what I feel people are actually looking for is reassurance or proof of what it out there. I find a lot of "stuff" on the internet and in the world which is absolutely false, this is why I had speculation of the stuff @ELHC.kgbenson wrote: It is generally accepted that humans respond better to people who are acting friendly. Not true for everyone, but say, 99% of people. Folks have been rather hard on ELHC on this an other forums. Why would that make someone go out of his/her way to open up about anything? I am not saying anyone would drag their feet, but I certainly wouldn't rush to satisfy a few detractors.
Think about it, someone emails, calls or meets you. One immediately attacks your ideas, another inquires about them with genuine interest. Who do you have a cup of coffee and a chat with?
You get more flies with honey . . . .
Keith
I'd go for coffee with the one who inquired as opposed to attacking. JW where was ELHC ideas ever attacked or was that what you were referring to?
. . . . you still get flies with vinegar
