Folks have been rather hard on ELHC on this an other forums. Why would that make someone go out of his/her way to open up about anything? I am not saying anyone would drag their feet, but I certainly wouldn't rush to satisfy a few detractors.

Think about it, someone emails, calls or meets you. One immediately attacks your ideas, another inquires about them with genuine interest. Who do you have a cup of coffee and a chat with?

You get more flies with honey . . . .

I wouldn't be trying to appease them because they are unkind. I'd do it to prevent future slander made against me. I would also share it because I care about hermit crabs and would like to share what I know about them to the world. I don't feel that people are being hard on ELHC, rather they question it - what I feel people are actually looking for is reassurance or proof of what it out there. I find a lot of "stuff" on the internet and in the world which is absolutely false, this is why I had speculation of the stuff @ELHC.

I'd go for coffee with the one who inquired as opposed to attacking. JW where was ELHC ideas ever attacked or was that what you were referring to?

. . . . you still get flies with vinegar

Questioning is different from attacking. Questioning should always be encouraged and accepted.

If everyone agreed 100% all the time, life would be boring, no new inspirations would emerge, and no progress would ensue.

Sometimes legitimate questions or doubts can be masked by potentially sarcastic or snarky peripheral verbiage.

Using sarcasm can flame a thread as much as accusations of attacking.

Either of the following may be subject to editing:
1. Unnecessary sarcasm (or anything that could be perceived as attacking) in sensitive topics
2. Accusations of attacking or assumptions of others' intent in sensitive topics.

People will keep posting pictures and info of Roseus and Bruneus. That's excellent; it's great to expand our information resources on these potentially new species, plus they're cute!.

People will keep posting in response questioning whether they are new species. This questioning is healthy and contributes to knowledge building and should continue.

If I were to post saying crabs prefer a slightly basic pH substrate, you'd all ask to see a reference, wouldn't you?

The male Pink indo and count brunberry ive only had a week ago Tuesday, that was my last visit to ELHC. My female pink indo has molted with me once and she is as pink as ever maybe even a bit pinker then when i got her. That could be due to the mineral supplaments..

Sue, your Rosseus crabs are gorgeous and I'm just in love with Count Brunberry. I never had a chance to order crabs from him, never mind visiting, I live in the middle of the country. You said you visited him just a week ago, right? Is he still selling crabs if people go there in person? Is it just the online sales that he stopped? I wish I had the tank space (house space) for a bigger tank and I could have gotten some from him. I'm jealous of all everyone who did.

Keith i put Cyclop Eeze Zooplankton
in the mineral supplement that i sell in my hermit crab dollar store so Im sure your right!

Husker, thanks so much. Bob is really working on his research right now and not selling crabs. Hopefully he will be in the future.. I hope to see him again before it gets cold out. He doesnt have a store at his home so he doesnt sell from his home.. He has such exciting things going on with the research he has to spend all of his time with that. Many of us talked Bob into selling crabs and even helped him make the web site but its lots more work and drama then he needs. He is also recovering from the hospital and taking care of himself. That is most important right now.
