Capt. Jack is snacking. So cool to watch his pinchers go to work on that shell!

So I woke up to 2 food bowls trashed haha
And Peanut's old shell is in the shell shop so I know he's changed! I think it's the green turbo...

Just got to witness the coolest thing!!! Peeked in the tank at the right moment to watch Captain Jack try on TWO different shells!! Both are about the same size as what he is in currently, the tan/white Babylonian. Each time he went back into his Babylonian...the 2 he tried on are turbos.
So cool to catch the action!!

I've put a strawberry top in the tank & I know they'll devour it! Had one last night that was eaten pretty well. Also added a new full cuttlebone too...kinda propped it up like a little surf board!

I love watching our guys switch shells. Except most of the time it happens late at night so I miss a lot of the action. Lucky for us we have Diva Mike who likes to wait until it just gets dark to start trying on shells and usually swap back to his old one by morning

So I now have twinsies!! Sure enough Peanut decided to change from green turbo to tan babylonian just like Capt. Jack did after his molt! He must've given him the idea
I do think Peanut's is lighter in color so I can tell them apart. Although he/she is still my shier of my two hermies.

Ha ha! My first two used to trade the same shells back and forth until I couldn't tell which was who! Usually Hermie would reject a shell, but then after Herminy wore it for a little while, Hermie would decide "well it must be good if HE has it!" and snap it up as soon as it was available, LOL. (And yes, "Hermie" and "Herminy"... my son named them and it's very confusing for me... so when he named the third one "Hermie, Jr." I insisted we call it "Junior" for short!)

6 of my hermit crabs were huddled together on one small log last night even though there was another empty log they could have been on. They were so cute

Jack is hanging out by the salt water pool.
Peanut is enjoying the flower lol

Took a pic earlier when I caught Peanut out earlier than he usually has been. Definitely my shy crabby (the tan/white Babylonian shell)!! But good ol Capt. Jack is my ham haha look at him raising his legs to the camera!!
