It just looks like they just came up extra pale. Some are like that. He is definitely a purple pincher. :)

Thank you! It's his first molt with us and I didn't see that with the other two. He's made a great tunnel last night...right next to the food dish. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Its pretty common after the first moult thats crabs come up really pale and washed out due to the conditions in the store and the lack of appropriate food. You should find that after his second moult he will look a bit more colourful!
