I find that its better to understock than it is to overstock, allows more room for error. Even though we do advocate 1 inch (or so) per gallon, I prefer to measure the total surface area - excluding levels - in finding the appropriate number of crabs. When moulting, they do construct rather large "caves" - according to a HCA member... (Kuza? I think) he noted moulting caves for mediums and small's to be around 6 x 6 inches... Which if you look at the surface area of a 75g... Might not handle that many caves if they (inevitably) do decide to do a "mass moult".
If you're set on the 75g being your last upgrade and have no room for a larger tank - or even, a larger tank available - then understocking will allow the crabs to safely grow to size in the tank before you need to upgrade. (Which does save money!)

(slight sidetrack, but do want to literate that HCA guides should be taken as guides only! For each individual crabber, there going to be numerous factors that come into play.)

FINALLY have my temps up to 80 degrees and humidity is at 89. It only took two months and a lot of trial and error to get here!!

The grey plastic cave on the right came from Petsmart, found in the fish or reptile area. However they aren't super found of it and it may get removed. Its currently only there bc I have issues with the shower caddy containing shells staying up, so the caddis sits on it. I worrg as they like digging around the base and I fear a collapse.

The wood and rope bridge came from the bird section at Petsmart (I removed the metal clip). The chola branch and cork flat came from the hermit crab patch. I simply inserted the small stick from the plastic plant into it and they really love this area. The plants are available from pet supplies plus or petsmart (probably other places too!).

The coco hut can be found anywhere.

Thanks for the video regency! I've had no issues with my few petsmart items but it's great to keep in mind

Additonally I always do the saltwater cleaning trick to everything!

I love my mix. Even catch some of my hermits munching on the ee. Ibalso insulated my tank with coco fiber matting and theyvloooove climbing and eating it as well lol.
