Sea Best Clams

Post by Kermie16 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 5:52 pm

Just got a box of these from Walmart today for about $5. I steamed the whole bag and now flash freezing them so I can occasionally pull them out when I need to :D

Nice! I might do this. I love finding new places to get crabbie food. I honestly never think to check in the frozen food aisles. I would just make sure it doesnt have any chemicals added to it or too much salt. Can you post the ingredients?

I gave my crabbies some fresh steamed clams once over the summer and they LOVED it! They were ripping the clams from the shells, it was interesting to watch! Image

Do you cook it, and then freeze cooked? Freeze it with the shell? Or, you cut them up into smaller bits?

I just steamed them as they were in the bag, then froze them like that (with shells intact). The crabs just tear it up on their own :)

It's awesome and really so convenient and for the our crabs it's like a major treat! Since I bought the box a few weeks ago I still have plenty frozen ready to go any time. Not bad for $5 ;)
