Wild Caribbean Hermit crabs in the Caribbean!

Hey guys, I just wanted to share some pictures I took of wild purple pinchers when I went to Mexico last spring. It's made me very much dislike the hermit crab pet trade to see them so free like that. Anyways here they are:

Ooooo!!! So pretty and cute! Love their natural shells and the coloring, especially in the first pic, is amazing!!! Thank you for sharing!! A cousin of mine went to the carribeans and took a pic of some hermies as well. If I'm able to find it, I will post!

Found it!! She and her family visited Anguilla.

So pretty and I love the crab track patterns!! If I could stencil that, that would be awesome!

Whoah that's so cool! We must have went at the time of year when all of the crabs go into the forest because there weren't any on the beaches. Maybe next time!

Very nice. We went to the USVI last September and on a hike we took they were everywhere! Being a hermit crab person it was an awesome experience.

It would be my dream....except somebody would have to eventually drag me away kicking and screaming or that would be how I'd spend my whole vacation lol!

Oh wow... I'm just seeing this now, and those are amazing pics!

Aside: I would try so hard to get there if there were a field trip... it would be amaze-balls to see hermies in their home with people who get how awesome it is.
