120 gal setup
120 gal setup
Okay guys... Sunday (2/19) I bought another tank. Honestly, I stole it at $115. And it was only 20 miles from me. The guy said he paid over $ 800 for it. It's a 120 gal tank trimmed with bamboo and is a true beauty. I can't wait to have it up and running (hopefully by this wknd)... More pics to come.
Sorry guys; these aren't my pics but it gives you an idea.

This is fantastic. I would totally make that room look like a tiki bar.

Re: 120 gal setup
Is usable crabby space included in the "roof space"? If so -and it has bracing - it would make a fantastic 2nd level for the crabs to chill out on. But it nicely decorated, thats for sure!

Thanks! Yes, I've been thinking about making 'the roof space' like a jungle area. My problem tho is that I wouldn't be able to see them if I wanted to peek unless I opened the 'roof' doors. The tank itself has no lid, just extends to the roof and the doors are basically the access or point of entry. Other than the doors, I don't think they could escape. I just have to figure out how to secure the doors so I don't have any potential escapees.aussieJJDude wrote:Is usable crabby space included in the "roof space"? Re: 120 gal setup
OMG, thats cool! It would be a nice hidey area, and would be interesting to see if they do spend a lot of their time up there when it is "sceluded". But even some large tubs would work quite well, or just glass panes covered with EE matting, or siliconed with shells (or covered with egg crate, and filled in with EE)... My oh my, thats probably going to be the funnest area to decorate!
