Look at the size of the shell this little crab picked out!
I almost didn't see him in there!

Cute!!!!!! I love it when they pick these super big shells! It's amazing they can even move them!

My littlest guy picked a super big shell too. :)

Your crabbie's color is pretty pale (or it could just be the camera - difficult to capture color with a camera sometimes :) ). When I got my first two PPs (petstore rescues, yes, now I know, next time I plan to adopt), they were most of them pretty pale on the peach and purple, kinda washed out looking. After just a week or two, their colors started getting darker, until now their big pinchers are a nice dark purple, and their body colors have deepened significantly. Pretty striking actually. I think it's due to the 80F / 80%RH, and maybe also some decent food, because neither of them has molted with me yet. If the color on the screen is accurate, might be neat to see if your baby darkens up too, now that he has a really great crabitat. :D

I have had one that has picked out a huge shell before and you couldn't even see his pincher when he was curled up in it. It was adorable!

I read this and looked at a picture of when I first brought home my crabs and at them now and they have darkened quite a bit! Makes me happy because I'm constantly worried I'm doing something wrong.

If they're getting darker, in my opinion, you're doing something right!!! Congratulations!!! I think all of us on here know how nerve-wracking it can be when you're not quite sure :D

He's definitely pale. Only had him a few weeks and hasn't molted yet.
The ones we got in Feb recently molted and their colors are amazing!
