Blue crab..

Post by Jenajl » Sat Apr 22, 2017 5:30 pm

I live in Louisiana. Where blue crab is abundant and fairly easy to catch - which we do regularly. I was wondering if drying out the shell and crushing it like an egg shell would be good or bad? My husband doesn't think it seems like a good idea. Any input would be great appreciated! Thanks :)

It's fine. I'd boil or bake the exoskeleton first.

You don't have to dehydrate at all unless you just want to.

Afterwards - freeze the rest of it for later meals :)
Edit: If you don't dehydrate it :)
