Shells for crabs
Shells for crabs
Ok so since my last post I made I have gotten a whole new set up for my crab and even added a second crab. Another question I have though is, is it ok to get shells from a shell shop? I live in the Savannah coastal area and there is a shell shop here that has tons of different shells to choose from.
Re: Shells for crabs
when buying any shells from anywhere i look for signs of paint, holes, cracks and other unsafe hermit hazards. i also will put my finger inside and check for rough edges. id just avoid buying any new hermit friends from a snail shop

I'm assuming you've seen this already, but if not, here goes: http://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/ ... 24&t=92552
It's the preferred shell guide. I hate wasting money, so I figured if you'd not seen it yet, you might appreciate knowing what kind of shells would work best for your crabs.
