Wood is real tho! It's a mixture of oak, dogwood, maple, grave vine, and mopani.

Edit - and there's cork bark from Petco.
Awesome tat! All of us can dream.

What did you use to clean that grass from hobby lobby? Looking to add more "vegetation" and curious how to make it safe.

I was thinking of doing something similar. I am curious what was your thinking about smashing out the bottom versus leaving it intact.

My thoughts.... Once decor is arranged or hung, how do I reattach something if it were to fall? What if I wanted to redecorate or rearrange a few things? - I think crabbies get bored after a couple of weeks. This is a 40B tank. It measures 36x18x16. I'm not flexible by no means lol!! Either I would have to remove the whole topper part to redecorate or just smash the bottom out and have access from the top like a normal tank... Smashing the bottom out just seemed better IMO! I could have siliconed everything in place to prevent things falling BUT, how would one rearrange or redecorate? Rearranging things makes it seem "new" to them I guess. ;)

I get it! Rearranging is at LEAST half the fun
Thank you!

What did you use to tape the UTH on the tank?

Clear duct tape... It's the same tape I used to secure topper to base tank.

Edit: the blue tape you see is painters tape and it's the 10 inch substrate line. I know an eye soar lol but I wanted to see how much it would settle over time.
