Haha they are quite the trouble makers. I cant even count how many times they've destroyed The tank this past week. As for looking for them try "Petland". One of The workers told me they all get The hermit crabs from one supplier. Seeing as how I got E's list week from there. You might find some There too.

Keep us updated! I'd like to know if and what yours change in to! I have 5 E's. They've all molted at one time or other since I've had them, and even after 5 successful molts and over 50 shell choices of varying sizes and types, not one has given up it's painted shell. My most active even has a big fat glow-in-the-dark painted caterpillar glued to his shell. Makes him clumsier than Barney Fife, but he doesn't even bother to "shop" (the others at least check them out occasionally, but no one ever moves).

Re: What are they???
Sometimes Es modify the inside of their shell, and just don't want to give them up. Es prefer lighter shells. One of my Es didn't change shells for almost 2 years. They will change when they want to. Just provide a wide variety of shells- especially D type opening shells with some Turbos for them. They will change when they are ready

Re: What are they???
My shipment of nerites and babylons hasnt come in yet so he chosen this old unidentified shell i had laying around.
Its a little old and small for him but better than a painted shell, hopefully my shipment comes in soon so they can have more variety.
