What species of bamboo is it?

Dracaena or "lucky" bamboo is on the unsafe list.

I believe its Pseudosasa japonica. the bamboo is still going strong. the basil wilted quite quickly

Sorry if it's so late, but I also do a bit of natural landscaping in my aquariums, and I love experimenting with different plants. Are you still using Pseudosasa japonica? Does it still work as well for tanks, or have you found a better alternative since? I'd be really curious to know if you can still combine edible and decorative plants in this way. 8)
