@Hermiesguardian Do you have a moving crab escalator in your tank?

Here is Salty trying to shove herself into the top of the cholla wood, she did get in there. She’s in a smaller white shell now, one of the 3 she likes.

You can see her leg in the bigger hole, in the middle. (Little bit of shiny purple)

(left of the picture, in the hole, you can see the green of her shell)

It looks like craft mesh that’s hooked together but it’s moving. I’ll try to figure out which video I saw it in.

Edit: It is in “Can I squeeze by” and “That’s it shells”. It looks like it’s moving around, kind of like a crab escalator. Lol!

It's a bird ladder with craft mesh attached. It doesn't move. And I was referring to the black furry thing that looks like it has jewels in it.

Oh! I figured out what it is. I think it’s the top of your wheel moving. In the video it looks like it’s going up to your bath caddy. It looked like it was a crab escalator going up to a shell shop. Lol!

Edit: Which picture are you talking about that looks like the furry cholla wood? It’s the inside of my cholla wood.

I have seen Rod on the wheel quite a bit the past few nights, tonight I caught her in the act. She has learned how to use the wheel already. I am so happy!

This is a really fun thread, to see what all your crabs do!
Do they just come out at night? Mine sleep ALL day. I sleep ALL night, I never see them! Plus, when it's dark how can you see what they are doing? If I turn on the light won't they stop?
I'm new, and find these quite boring! haha

Hi! That's exactly why some of us have installed cameras in the tanks. I get to watch their nighttime antics. The only problem is it's in night vision, not color. The most popular camera is the Wyze Cam.
