In the commercial food section of the guide it says "Fluker Freeze Dried diets" doesn't specify any it just says that. This is a Fluker freeze dried diet so going with that logic it should be ok. I just want a second opinion on it. If I am right in that it okay; I want to get that order in to amazon today and get that, river shrimp (the one I was unsuccessful at getting yesterday) the calcium supplement pack and another Repti rock food dish.
Soldierworms are fine. Most insects found in pet stores are.

Any insect that someone says is their pet is off-limits.

(Unless they give you permission, then it’s okay)

Well then I’m ok. Cause no one I know has bugs for a pet.

Though I did see a praying mantis on the sidewalk in the summer. If I wasn’t meeting my friend for ice cream I would of gone back to the pet store and bought a tank for it. LOL

Pretty sure they can have any. Just make sure there are no added ingredients (like salt or anything like that) or preservatives. Straight up bugs are fine.

What about those canned tropical mix ins from zoo med?

What about the canned bugs? Do they come with resealable lids?

The canned mix-ins have potassium chloride as a preservative. Probably not harmful but some prefer to avoid preservatives. It’s up to you.

The canned insects are resealable if they have plastic lids.

Right now I have cardboard wrapped in a towel on top of the mesh lid that I got with the tank plus 3 heaters the temperature was 74 this morning. Humidity has been stuck at 85 for weeks. Anything else I could use to cover the mesh lid that is less annoying then what I’ve currently got (less annoying in terms of easier to get into tank to do stuff). I thought about packing tape cause I think we have that around the house would I need to leave some misting/air holes in it?

A blanket will absorb humidity. What type of gauge do you have? It may not be accurate. A digital one is better. You can tape saran wrap to the top of the lid. Or plexi glass from a hobby store. You don't have to leave airholes. They will get enough oxygen when you feed them every couple of days.

So just ziploc type plastic would work? I'm going to try to do something tonight...

I decided that I would try using zip-lock bags because me and plastic wrap aren't generally friends. My temp is now 75.4*F and my humidity is still 85%. even after misting the entire tank my humidity is 85%.
