I'd love to hear of any thermostat recommendations out there!
I have three heat mats of various sizes on the back/side of our tank. I check them and can turn them on/off on a daily basis to get the right temperature, depending on the ambient temperature of the room (and if the AC is on, etc.). I would like to be able to automate this somehow, to plug at least one (and maybe more) of the mats into a thermostat that will supply power to them as needed based on the tank temperature.
What do you use? Do you like it?
Thanks so much!

Re: Looking for thermostat recommendations
We use I-Power thermostats from Amazon. They are under $20. We have one on each of our 5 tanks and never had an issue in about two years of using them.
We use a big UTH across the back of our tanks and an additional UTH on the sides. We plug the large UTH into the thermostat and the smaller UTH powered on all the times. I am not sure if it would be safe to use a "Y" adapter in the thermostat to power multiple UTH's. You will need to do your research or contact the manufacturer.

Re: Looking for thermostat recommendations
I wrote this review two and a half years ago for the Herpstat 1. Still in use though moved to my gecko enclosure, and I ended up buying a Herpstat 2 to use in it's place so I could regulate a snake tank as well. Really nice little machines, totally forgot about how long I've had them as I've never had to touch them after getting them set up once! They make models with up to 6 inputs.

Thank you! The Herpstat is a little out of my price range. but the I-Power one is the exact one I had my eye on, so I'll start with that for now. Thanks for the feedback!
