Playsand

Since I have a bigger crabitat now, I need more substrate. Can you use playsand straight from the bag without any worries of mites or bugs? In the past, I’ve baked my sand, but it’s a huge hassle so I was wondering if it’s really necessary lol.

I don’t
seeing that the play sand sitting in that bag with no air for so long would kill anything if there was anything, but keep in mind I am no expert so I don’t know for sure but I would think you don’t have to.

I have always used it straight from the bag, as long as the bag was sealed and not open or broken.
