my crab just came up from a molt like within the last hour. he’s in the old temporary 10 gallon because he decided to molt before i could switch him over. all thats in the ten gallon is a moss pit coconut, water, food, and shells. i only have one heat source is my problem. my other crab is molting under the moss pit so i can’t move the heat source yet. do i have to just wait and leave him bored until my other crab comes up?
pretty boy with pretty colors. i know the painted shell is bad i’m taking it as soon as he switches. and i also know the metal bowl is bad i had nothing else and didn’t expect them to need to use it again

i promise what you see in the ten gallon is not up to standards i know i didn’t know a lot. my new tank has everything i could imagine for them, big salt and fresh water pools, tons of climbing, shell shop, moss pit, they’re favorite hide (fake log) and tons of room, it will also have about 8 inches of substrate when i add in the stuff from the 10 gallon. i also have a bunch of new food for them that aren’t pellets (what they started with) green sand and worm castings are always out as well as crab and lobster shell most of the time. i try to offer pecan pieces a lot because it’s Ruth (still molting) favorite

If the new tank doesn't have a heat source, he's going to have to stay put.

Yeah, if you don’t have another heat source he has to stay in the 10 gallon. If you would like you can take stuff out of the 25 gallon and add it into the 10 gallon until your other crab comes up.
