Green eyes?

Post by frog » Tue Apr 27, 2021 9:08 pm

I noticed a while ago one of my crabs eyes looked greenish. I thought maybe it was because she was about to molt, but she just came up from molt and still looks like this lol. Is this normal?

Can’t say I’m familiar with the phenomenon but I’m also partially red-green colorblind.

I've had crabs with greenish tints in the past. I think it's partially coloration, partially lighting. They do have compound eyes with can reflect in unusual ways. Image
