I think it would be fine for hermit crabs just make sure they can get on and off easy and make sure it is not to high to where they can get out.

Re: Lizard Lounge
A few crabbers I know have had them in the past. I think their biggest concern was the suction cups ended up hardening and failing (which happens with all suction cups) after a couple of months. :/

if you have a secure lid you shouldn’t have to worry about them escapingHermitCrabCHICA wrote: ↑Sun Jun 20, 2021 2:12 pmI think it would be fine for hermit crabs just make sure they can get on and off easy and make sure it is not to high to where they can get out.

Re: Lizard Lounge
I use them. I removed the suction cups, and use zip ties instead.

Re: Lizard Lounge
BTW - a wonderful hack I learned for the suction cups is applying a little vaseline to them. They have to be completely clean - no sand.

vaseline huh i will have to try that one next time!!GotButterflies wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 7:08 pmBTW - a wonderful hack I learned for the suction cups is applying a little vaseline to them. They have to be completely clean - no sand.
and you are one hundred percent correct saying those suction cups have to be completely clean of sand. i normally make sure both glass and suction cup are clear of sand the i wet my finger and wipe the suction cup. then it usually sticks for me. but vaseline sounds like a great idea for next time. i’m curious to try
