My largest crab has disappeared, I can’t see him anywhere in his enclosure. He definitely couldn’t have gotten out of his enclosure so is it possible he’s buried himself to moult? None of my crabs have moulted yet so I’m a bit nervous.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Disappearing Act!
It’s most likely just buried. Disappearing animals is the norm in this hobby.

Welcome to the affliction!
I've got 6 hermit crabs. Two 29g setups 3 in each. I'm new to this doing it correctly.
All I've seen for weeks is one, maybe two of them in one of the tanks. Zero sightings or signs of activity in the other tank. Main things are to have proper substrate depth/consistency and tank temp/humidity for them to molt and wait it out.
