Pools 3D printing / Humidity / Substrate

Hi! My crabs are doing well. My friend is gonna 3d Print me some pools, what plastics AND sealants are safe for the crabbies. And what’s an ideal shape for the ramps and pool.

Also now that I changed my pools from 1 cup things from Amazon to Tupperware with bubblers, the humidity crashed. I added more moss but it’s stuck at 69%.

Also I can’t find a crab could it be hiding in the substrate? I added more recently for digging.

Have you calibrated your hygrometer to ensure it is accurate?

What do you have for a lid/ cover on your tank?

Yes, of course a crab might be underground. Don't go looking, just be patient and wait for it to come back up.

PET, PETT, PETG, and ABS plastics are most commonly used in aquariums. Any waterproof sealant should be okay, try checking an aquarium forum for more ideas, they have more reason to avoid leaching so they’ll know what works

Also, bubblers can cause the humidity to drop if the outside air being pumped in is too dry

Hi! My hydrometer is digital and pre calibrated I moved the pool closer to the heating pad to help with the humidity and that worked. Also thank you for the 3d printer answers! Also I’ll be sure to leave Barleycorn alone!

I'm glad that helped. Keep in mind that any hygrometer can become inaccurate, even the digital ones.
