Yellow Bluck With Other Colors:
Banana
Brocolii
Egg Yolk
Cuttlebone
Tomato
Carrot

Take part of your banana and smush it up in the dish. Next, crush the egg yolk and mix it up. Then make the carrots itty-bitty and put on top and mix again. Then take the top off the brocolii and sprinkle it all over and mix it again. Then slice the tomato into a small slice a place it on the side and Ta-da! Optionally, you can sprinkle cuttlebone on top. This is a favorite of my crabs! :D

Cricket Soufle

Post by Guest » Sun Jan 06, 2008 10:25 pm

Today I was looking at what i had left for hermit food, before I went to the store and decided to make a mix for them...

INGREDIENTS:
1 brown egg, scrambled
1 tsp organic whole milk
1 tsp peanut butter
10 crickets
5 mealworms
2 minnows
celery leaves

Mix it all up together and serve with Clementine chunk and egg shell

I have never seen these guys so happy and the best part is that it took like 2 minutes to make and there is enough for tomorrow... but they are devouring it.

Oh yeah and I keep the crickets frozen so that they are easier to work with. I dont want them hoping around. :)

I made some hermie banana bread that my Kayleigh seems to enjoy:

1 banana
3 pecans
ground cuttlebone
small glop of honey
whole wheat flour
oats
flax seed
water
baking soda
enough distilled water to make a batter

I baked it at 350 in the toaster oven for long enough to be done. :)

Kayleigh sat on a chunk for about 2 hours munching away!

Here is a small dish that I designed for them. They really liked it, so I decided to call it something random and new.

Sûkû-Sûkû
Composed Of:
1 Small Chunk of Chicken
1 Sheet of Nori (Seaweed)

Small Brown/Wild Rice, Cooked
Vegetables of Your Choice (I chose red and green pepper)
Honey and Olive Oil

Boil the chicken for a little while until it is almost done. Soak seaweed until flexible in saltwater and then wrap around chicken so only the ends of the meat are showing. Bake until chicken is done and top with cuttlebone or other nutrient.

Cook rice and mix in mixed vegetables, nuts, etcetera. Add in some honey and olive oil before serving.

Serve the chicken and seaweed over the rice and put in when cool. It's a sure-fire meal! :D

Yep! they there was nothing left! (unless THAT went into the "storage\bury" place) They only get cheerios once in a while because of the sugar and salt though. Tonight is rehydrated mango with a side of peas, peppers, some hibicus flowers, shaved cuttlebone, raisens, and some walnuts.

Cool, then maybe I will string some Cheerios on a hemp twine and give them it as an occasional toy treat :)

Tonights dinner sounds scrumptious! (Hermie wise)

sounds cool! i might have to try that! You can also cover them with some honey or peanutbutter to make them tastier, if you want, i might also cover them with a sprinkling of flowers!

Tonight is simple: just Sheperds milk (crabotanical) with some bluberries.

I tried out Zat's idea. I took some twine and then strung cherrios on it. I tied each end so the cheerios would stay on the string. Then i smeared it with peanutbutter and then coveredit with oats, seeds, peppers, flowers, ect. They LOVED it!! i have 6 micros and 3 smalls on it right now! (these micros & smalls are in diff. tanks) Tonight is just some shrimp with spinach.
