Bone Marrow

Bone marrow? Anyone else given it?

I gave them a little just a minute ago. My dog gets a raw cow femur bone with a bunch of meat/tendons attached once a week, so I scooped out some marrow and gave it to the crabs for dinner. It seems healthy to me, it is a very mineral-rich food. Plus I get all my beef from local, free range, grass fed, grass finished cows, so no hormones.

Now we get to see if they like it!

(Just to stop the "never give your dog a bone" people, google BARF diet, raw uncooked bones are perfectly fine for dogs, good actually)

I often break open chicken bones so they can get to the marrow. They love it.

I bet your dog absolutely loves when that day of the week comes around! :D :D

That's a good idea. My cat gets a raw chicken wing once a week for his teeth (he used to be on homemade raw but wouldn't eat liver), if he ever has leftovers I might try giving the crabs some marrow.

Interesting notion...however, my dog would be most upset if I gave the crabs HIS marrow! lol
