I was on such a great streak too. I have 5 PPs all of which have been down molting 4 have come up successfully and the 5th came up about 30 minutes ago. He has a full eye stalk but the eye itself is missing. (His other eye is just fine) It's almost the color of his joints so am I wishful thinking hoping that maybe his exo just didn't come off his eye completely? I feel so bad but I know he went down for his molt about a week and a half or two after I got him from a kiosk at the mall (it broke my heart I wanted to rescue them all but you know how it is).
Is there any known reason why a crab would come up with an injury or deformity not caused by a tunneling crabitat mate?

Sometimes their exo won't come off correctly, I've heard of that happening with legs and they usually tend to drop the leg completely and just regrow it. I'm almost positive they can regrow eyes too. I think a few have had crabs with eye problems, hopefully they will jump in and share their experiences with you soon.

My PP, Favre, came up with his eye almost completely gone after his first molt with me. But in his case the eye had some damage when I bought him. Now, after several molts, his eye has almost completely grown back. It took much longer than regrowing a leg but he's almost to the point that I can't see any difference in his eyes.
