I've had a few moss pit molts, usually the smaller ones.

Re: Surface Molt Attack!!
Wanted to update!
He's doing good. Eating through his exo and is definitely still alive! He's got a very funny color to his exo though, and he's going to be covered in discoloration spots from where the sand touched him when he was still soft. Still not sure about the damage that was done aside from the sheild leg.
Still in that waiting and hoping period. I'm concerned that he hasn't dug underground, too. Normally they'll want to rebury ASAP but he seems content to munch away right where I put him.

Hopefully that's a good sign of sorts I mean, he's content, right?
Yay I hope he recovers And if the damage is too much or he's too funky he'll just molt again and be like new

Re: Surface Molt Attack!!
It's just the leg. And it's not Wrex! (Which I am happy about since Wrex already has a raisin eye and doesn't need to be missing a leg to go with it.)
I got him to come out for me last night, and aside from the missing sheild leg and his scared up big pincher he is whole and looking great. Nearly done with his exo, too! I'll fatten him up on some extra goodies for a few days once he comes up and then I'm going to put him back in the main tank. He should be fine. He looks great!

Re: Surface Molt Attack!! [2/25 - She's Fine!]
I kinda forgot about her in the molt ISO... I knew she had dug back down, I thought just to rest up, and then I forgot she was in there. Looked in the tank last night, and there's a crab! (I'm doing a recount of the crabs and I have no idea how many crabs I have at the moment since I didn't keep track of how many may be left in there. )
She pulled a back-to-back molt without coming up!!! The leg is back.

aw! she looks good!
it's always hard for me to take care of crabs in ISO because it's usually no activity if they are molting so I know how that goes!
