Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com
I emailed her and asked if I could add a few more crabs to the order- due to the crabs not being shipped out until September. (I was going to place another order in September as long as the weather wasn't too bad). I then sent Live Hermit Crabs an order for the total of the crabs through paypal alone- not through the website as that would require paying seperate for shipping when all the crabs are being shipped together.

Did you wait for her to send an invoice? I sent her an e-mail and told her I wanted to add two more crabs as well a couple days ago and she asked if I had a paypal address. But that was it :roll:tigermoon89 wrote:I emailed her and asked if I could add a few more crabs to the order- due to the crabs not being shipped out until September. So.... I was wondering did you then send the money to an address with the crabs that you wanted??
Lack of communication is definitely a problem here....

NOT COOL AT ALL!!meldamiriel wrote:Since we're on the topic of LHC, I wanted to share something about my crabs that I received a few months ago.
I spent $120 on 6 crabs - 3 violas and 3 strawberries. I lost one viola almost immediately due to pps (which I figured would happen with at least one of them). Since then, I have lost 3 other crabs. Another viola and 2 strawberries. Mysterious deaths. Each one has gone through a molt since I've had them and each one seemed perfectly healthy until one day they just up and died on me. I do not believe this was anything due to my conditions as I've been able to keep multiple species alive and thriving for over 5 years now. I honestly think I received a bad batch of crabs.
I tried to get in touch with the customer service there and she will not respond to me. I understand personal issues, but it has been weeks that I've been trying to get in touch with her to no avail.
I will not buy from there again and I cannot recommend them to anyone else. This is my own personal experience and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else who spends a lot of money to get crabs from LHC.

No I didn't wait for her to send an invoice- other members have done this in the past and I have not heard of a problem. I did save our emails discussing the crabs wanted and agreement to pay through paypal. I had to send the extra payment through orders@livehermitcrabs.compatchouliii wrote: Did you wait for her to send an invoice? Apparently she's been in touch with other people here, so there's no excuse for her to be ignoring me.
Just another reason to add to my list of why I'll never purchase from LHC again.

Hermit Crab Patch is definitely reputable and responsible, but they only have Es and PPs.

Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com
I have not heard anything. She keeps the crabs for 2 weeks to allow them to destress once they come in. So if they arrived to her on the 27th we should be hearing about shipping sometime next week.
