Just when I thought it was getting better, I emailed her to ask if blues made it in the shipment. This is the "Auto response" I received:

WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY. OUR SHIPMENT OF CRABS WILL BE ARRIVING ON SATURDAY 9/22. THEY WILL NEED 1-2 WEEKS TO DE-STRESS PRIOR TO SHIPPING. ORDERS WILL BE SENT IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECEIVED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

Now that's customer service. Not even a hint that the email will be answered. Nice!

When I emailed live hermit crabs two days ago I got a response in less than 2 hours and all of my questions were answered to the best of lhc's ability. Given the nature of lhc's business and the knowledge I had of their practices (i.e. lack of communication) prior to ordering crabs, my experience with lhc hasn't been a negative one.

Well so much for optimism. There goes my order! I got a response to my question. The answer wasn't good:

It doesn't look good unless they come in before he ships tomorrow, but most likely not.

This is the email I got last night:

Hi. Shipment is coming in on Saturday. Doesn't appear the blues will make the shipment. I'll know for sure tomorrow. I will not be responding to any emails until Monday as I have my shipment coming in (a lot of work) and my daughters christening this weekend.

I emailed back and forth with her a but today. I'm substituting the crabs in my order or Indos and violas. She said she's not getting pink Indos in this order either. She said actually they are very rare and are sometimes mixed in. I'm assuming she offers it as a choice, but usually subs it out. She was really quick to respond today, I'm just hoping the crabs come in healthy. I guess we will find out in the next couple weeks.

So I realized my post never posted, i got my 7 E's on the 6th (I ordered a half dozen, they threw in a bonus crab i guess). They arrived incredibly active, gave em a salt water bath, no mites came off. Their still tearing up my tat s their still pretty dang healthy so well see what happens with em.

I can't help it but I'm so excited. I got my iso all ready today. Equipped with proper shells and multiple levels. Now all I need are my new babies! I know I said I want them to take their time and ship them when they are safe and healthy, but I've never been good at waiting for Christmas, even as an adult. I'm certainly struggling with this! At least it will give me something to tinker with until they get here!

I just wanted to let you all know that that witch at LHC.com has backed out on her promise to include a free crab to those that kept their order as well as her promise to offer a 50% off discount on future purchases I ordered blueberries with my purchase and she won't have any until next summer and when I asked her if I would receive the 50% off, she said she was excluding blueberries! She also promised a free crab for my patience and says that she will not be including that in this order because I asked for a refund on my blueberrie's that SHE DOES NOT HAVE despite I have 6 Indo's on the way! :headshake: How is this fair business practice? Everyone here knows that I have been bending over backwards to work with this witch and this is her way of thanking me?

This was her email to me:

If you choose a partial refund on a species currently in stock we cannot issue a 50% coupon for this item on a future order. I apologize. I would have no problem sending an additional blueberry in your order next summer.

50% off your next order (not just yours, any order) will exclude blueberries and any species refunded on the current order. As well... We are working on bringing in Aussie's, hopefully within the next 6 weeks. These as well will be excluded from any discounts.

The irony is I only asked for a refund of my blueberries because she didn't have them!

Wow.. That's horrible.. Have you said you would tell everyone that they broke both the promise of a free crab and 50% off? Maybe that will get you at least the extra crab.

Oh I told her. I told her that this thread had almost 3,000 views and 161 replies and that everyone were about her! I don't care about the free crab, I'm peeved that she is ruining it for everyone on here that has pending orders with her.

OMG she doesn't have the species in stock in which you are asking for the refund!!!!!! Either I am misunderstanding something, or she is one.

She knows how badly everyone want's those blueberries that's why she is refusing the 50%, she is out of her mind!!! I am so glad I hadn't ordered from her yet, now I really think I wont!!!

There has to be some way for us to get our exotics without using her. Surely we can find a way somehow.
