Maybe you should build it like a green room and use glass for the walls. You could easily put insulated tarp over it in the winter. My back porch is a sun room with screen panels for the walls and a wooden ceiling. I've always thought about putting the crabs out there for the summer

Kip, I like the idea of a live stream however I can't see anything... maybe you might have the camera the wrong way around?

It was night time, it was dark, that's why you couldn't see anything. The camera is the right way, it's just not very good and doesn't have nightt vision.aussieJJDude wrote:Kip, I like the idea of a live stream however I can't see anything... maybe you might have the camera the wrong way around?

Of course it had to be night time! Now that I am looking at it I can see! I guess I just have to log on early in the morning to view the crabitat!kip.rogers357 wrote:It was night time, it was dark, that's why you couldn't see anything. Yes, you have to remember we're on the other side of the Earth! lol
I see several that are out and about right now! Eating and drinking, one was climbing on the cholla branch! I love that I can keep an eye on them while i'm at work!

I have one of our security cameras pointed at our crabs so I can watch them during work. I love it. Not so safe for the house but I enjoy it.

Haha! That's too funny, "not safe for the house but I enjoy it."MgnB wrote:I have one of our security cameras pointed at our crabs so I can watch them during work. I love it. Not so safe for the house but I enjoy it.
My dad has mentioned this app where you can use an old cell phone as the camera, and view what's happening on your personal cell phone (both phones would need the app). He mentioned it for security purposes, to keep an eye on who's coming to the front/back door, or driving up to the driveway, etc... but the first thing I thought about was the crabs "I can watch the crabs!!!"

Oh yes. It's the best thing ever. In my crab world that is. Also I can see my kids in the glass reflections. Two birds One stone. BAM
