our first successful molt

Post by nanasue » Thu Nov 27, 2014 7:29 pm

This is Maggie, my first crabbie. When my son bought her for me as a birthday present, she was in that little grey magpie, shown in the first pic. She almost immediately went down to molt. None of the pics are real clear, but she is very brightly colored, with very sharp "toetips", and a very ambitiously big shell that she nabbed when she first came up. She just came up about 3-4 days ago. My son was the first one to see her, and I was so mad that I only just got to see her today. I took the opportunity her being out and about for a photo shoot. Not my best pics, but I'm very proud of my Maggie-crabbie. Now, if only my son's Kermit would go down for a molt... my son has had him the longest (since august), and he's still not molted... Or selected a much needed larger shell, for that matter.
