Done decorating! I may make some changes to the extended part so stuff doesn't move so much on the tote lid, but I'm practically done :D
One thing you can't see very well from the pictures is the bush thing hanging from the opening into the tote because it's not in all the pictures.

Brace yourselves, lots of photos...

Now for the topper!

Realized when I had to go back and get a few more pictures that I forgot to put this in

I hope this was enough pictures for you :) I think it came out very nicely! It was what I was hoping for plus more!
Any tips on what I could add to the bottom of the lid so the crabs don't slip so much?
Crabs will be in when I get the heat figured out :?

SO COOL! It just looks so unique as a whole. The topper acts as a viewing gallery. OMG! Great job!!!
Where do i start! Homemade net? What's that rolled straw looking thing? Where in the world did you get some of those plants? I want that snakey/bushy looking thing, what is that? Are those homemade plastic canvas boxes/huts? How is your topper lit?
This is insane great! I'm so inspired! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks everyone!

Your explanations are really helping me out, haha.
Yeah, I made the net :)
I'm assuming the "rolled straw looking thing" is the Bendy branch by flukers. This? http://www.amazon.com/Fluker-Labs-SFK51 ... ukers+vine
Most of the plants are from the pet store. The ones on the right side are from the dollar store and Walmart. The palm looking one in the topper is from petco and the other bush in the topper I got from Amazon, it's by zoo med I think. All the fish plants are either from Petsmart or random ones we had laying around. There's so many plants in there I'm not totally sure which one you're talking about.
This one I think is the one you mean right?

I got that at Joann Fabrics.

Yep I made that hide out of canvas I saw it here viewtopic.php?f=54&t=77409

I was using my mom's ott light for the pictures and I was using flash so that may have made it look different. I'm just using a uvb light now, nothing fancy.

Glad you like, I think I already hate it :P or maybe just cause the heat is being a pain.

Sweet net!
The rolled straw thing looks like a basket. But it is not any ordinary basket. It looks handmade and awesome!
Yes, that was the bushy plant i was referring to. I need to go to JAF, then! That stuff is great!
Canvas hides are awesome!!
I know how you feel. I hate my setups instantly, too. But yours is so different and inspiring! You should be very proud

Oh, the basket in the corner? I got it from Pet Supplies Plus in the bird section, it was a bit pricey but I like it. I was thinking straw as in for drinking something :hlol: that would explain it, haha.

I think what I don't like is, it's really hard to take the tank on and off, stuff goes everywhere. I'm gonna go fix it and then more pictures may be posted :P

Bird toys are great for crab toys!
I can see that get frustrating. After you make some edits it will be perfect!!
