Could my Es live with PPs?
Re: Could my Es live with PPs?
Thank you CallaLily! I will definitely be keeping my Es alone for a while after I move them to their larger tank (I'm getting a 90 gallon this Friday! ) just to see if they remain calm and cool with each other. As long as they stay relaxed, I think I'll try adding a few PPs to the mix after a while. It's good to know it's worked for others! So, from what you said about the temperatures, I should aim to have the tank remain somewhere above 80 but under 85 if I have both species together, right?
Re: Could my Es live with PPs?
A little higher than 85 in some areas of the tank wouldn't harm anyone as long as there's cooler areas (within safe temps of course) they could move to if they like.

Thanks! I'll make sure to have some cool, shady structures available.

Re: Could my Es live with PPs?
So my two Es and my two PPs have been living with each other since the begging of fall. At first i kept them separated so my Es could have one molt in piece and quiet. There was not any trouble after i put them in and they have all since had a few successful group molts with each other. They sleep on top of each other and follow each other around.
