Flooded Tank
Flooded Tank
I don,t know why but I got a humidity problem so I was always using my spray to raise up humidity. But now it's ok and I just realized that I have about 1 inch of water in the substrat... What should I do?

Re: Flooded Tank
That link was originally about a false bottom but JJ had good advice for soaking up a flood.
Re: Flooded Tank
I have no molters! And thanks for the info!
Re: Flooded Tank
This is going to sound REALLY bizarre-but I have this problem to a much lesser extent, occasionally spilling the water bowl, etc. so the bottom inch of the sand is wetter than I would like. I went out today and bought tampons to use!!! I thought, they are easy to stick down into the sand, and once full of water, I can just pull the string to take it out.
Can't believe I am admitting this but really it seems like it will work. We'll see!

I am crying because I am laughing too hard over this - and getting some horrible images at the same time, my messed up brain is doing what it does best! But I imagine that they would do the job quite well.

Oh trust me it is even funnier to me as I have had a hysterectomy and have not bought these in 10 years! Thank God they did not ask me at the register why I needed them, can you imagine saying for my crab tank??????
And yes they actually do work:)

Re: Flooded Tank
Which is probably the reason I will never test this method... (and also I plan not to have a flooded tank to being with.) Are I could lie, as a 16yr would totally be buying one for his girlfriend... Hrrr, have to wait until older to try it out!KellyCrabbieLove wrote:Even worse, if you were a guy buying them. Lol

I laugh at this now, but when I initially read it I totally did the "oh yeah, that would totally work" and pictured it in my head....there's something wrong with methermidor wrote:This is going to sound REALLY bizarre-but I have this problem to a much lesser extent, occasionally spilling the water bowl, etc. so the bottom inch of the sand is wetter than I would like.
