i just got temp and humidity gauges, should i put them at the top of the tank or close to the bottom?

Closer to the bottom -- that's where the crabs usually are!

Middle to bottom... the top is a bad place to get an accurate reading. I put mine up top, without thinking... but have since moved them down to about 3" above the substrate.

I agree.... middle to bottom - that's where mine are and I get good readings there

Mine are at sand level....They never stuck on the glass to begin with.
