thank you.36x18x36 the sand is 10 in on the left and back, the front rt has the stuff so i could make deeper i have 3 large uth's . my biggest fan (winston) is climbing out the top to watch.i do worry now about durability of the tank it is not meant for this much weight i don't think. i run it at 80/ 90 humidity.

@Sonny, yeah the type of tank you have is actually meant for arboreal animals like frogs and lizards so the glass is thin and the weight limit on the bottom pane is pretty low.We actually recommend avoiding this type of enclosure because it just doesn't meet the basic safety ratings needed for keeping hermitcrabs. If you use play sand and you hydrate it your adding 8lbs per gallon of water used which means if you have to use six 50lb bags of sand and you hydrate it with two gallons of water your going from 300lbs dry to 316lbs wet.The maximum weight limit for most terrariums is no more than 60lbs for substrate, decor and all because of the thickness of the supporting panes of glass. This is why we only recommend using aquariums since they have a much higher load bearing weight limit as they are meant to hold water which significantly outweighs even damp sand.My 129gallon has a maximum load bearing weight limit of 1032lbs of water which means it would be impossible for me to exceed the weight rating with substrate and decor alone. You can get away with using the Terrarium only if you have a good weight supporting stand so that the bottom pane of glass doesn't have to do all the work.

Sonny - speechless! How big is it? Is it custom or did you buy it? So many questions because that is the most amazing tat I've ever seen!

Sonny, I get teased often about it. They love me dearly but REALLY don't understand this at all, especially in me. I can't explain it, they've just capture my attention and kept it.

@Sonny, even though I am an adult people don't take me seriously when I start getting all technical about hermitcrabs and their care and then show the pictures I have on my phone of all the updates and work I've done to the enclosure.I've been crabbing since 1992 so I've been at this for quite a while and most people who know the family know about my obsession but there are a few who even though they've know me my entire life have never known about my crabbing habit and when they see how much work and time I've put into keeping hermitcrabs they get a little confused and lot more weirded out like they can't understand why because the crabs look nasty, ugly or just plain creepy.lolI have certain places I shop for my supplies and I've been shopping at these places for so long that I don't get called by my given name I'm always the Crab Guy because thats all I ever shop for.lol

Wow! Every time I look at our tank I love it....but seeing all of these gives me tank envy! I haven't taken a new pic in a while so maybe this weekend I will get on it and share with you guys. After a bit of sprucing up You all are so good to your crabs it wonderful! And all of the "younger" folks on here amaze me! Starting with such a solid foundation and knowledge of caring for our crab friends at such a young age is going to give you a lifetime of crab adventures! Way to go!
