Crabbie stores

Post by Kirrie » Thu Jul 09, 2015 5:30 pm

I just wanted to share the links to a few good places I know of to order crab food. I have personally ordered from each one and they seem to be a hit with my crabs as well as the many others that I know who have ordered from these stores. http://desertsun.tictail.com/http://www ... .etsy.com/

As per our site rules and terms of use all three links have been checked out by a member of the staff "Myself" and they will be left up for a trial period of one month after that time they will be subject to deletion or will be permanently left up.Among the things that will be taken into consideration at that time member reviews will be one.The first link does not fully work as the landing page it directs the user to is a page stating that this site or page is unavailable because it is coming soon. The link will be left until the page it directs to is fixed for review. Thanks the staff.

Oops, sorry! I forgot that the owner of that store just recently had surgery, so her store is closed for a few weeks. It should be open again before the end of the month.

@Kirrie, we had a similar issue with the link for live exotic hermitcrabs.com because the guy who owned the site and business was actually running the whole thing out of his house and when his wife got sick they lost the business and their house and had to shut down the website. This was in 2012 and the link was quickly removed because it just took you to a parked blank website and parked websites( A parked website is a website that used to be active but was shut down and waiting for someone to purchase it, parked sites will typically still display the same name from when they were last active but because they are parked they receive no security maintenance or otherwise which leaves them vulnerable) are notorious for becoming hot spots for hackers who want to secretly deploy black-hole exploit kits and drive by down-loaders which will install all kinds of adware, spyware and backdoor access root kits without you even knowing it happened.Fortunately I have a couple programs which I run at all times which allow me to check parked websites for hostile threats and prevents them from loading onto my system in the first place.I used one of these programs to check the website for the broken link and its not a parked site it's still registered to the original owner which means there is some regular upkeep being done by the host she's using to keep the bad guys from tampering with her platform.Whois.com is a great website for checking the ownership of websites before you visit them as most parked websites wont display a current owner or valid security certificate in the additional information dialog box.Websites that don't display ownership or valid security certificates should be considered hostile by default because they are often used to spam viruses and other types of malware so as to infect as many computers as possible in the shortest amount of time this then allows the author of the malware to assume control of all the infected computers forming a botnet which he or she will then use to spam companies like Microsoft or Sony in order to shut their internet traffic down known as doing a DDOS or Distributed Denial of Service attack which then allows the author of the attack to gain illegal access to the servers for the effected companies where they can steal all sorts of sensitive corporate data.
